How to merge PDF files
- Select two or more PDFs, or drop them onto the box. On a phone they open from your Files app.
- Put them in order: drag them, or use the arrow buttons. Remove any you don't need.
- Press Merge, then download your PDF.
How your files stay private
The files are read and joined by your browser, in memory, and handed straight back to you as a download. The page is locked so it cannot send data to any other website. When you press Start over or close the tab, everything is cleared.
Limits
- Up to 20 PDFs at once
- Up to 50 MB per file and 200 MB in total
- Password-protected or restricted PDFs can't be merged
- Bookmarks, fillable form fields and links between pages may not be kept
Questions
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. Your browser joins the files on your own device. They are never sent to our servers or anyone else's.
Will the pages look the same?
Yes. Pages are copied exactly as they are - text, images and fonts are not re-compressed or converted.
Why was my PDF refused as protected?
Some PDFs are locked with a password or with restrictions on changes. They can't be merged here. Open the file, save or print a copy without protection, and add that copy instead.
What isn't kept?
The merged file contains the pages only. Bookmarks, fillable form fields and links that jump between pages may not carry over, and the original files' title and author are not copied.
What are the limits?
Up to 20 PDFs, 50 MB each and 200 MB in total. Very large files can be slow on older phones.
